Which marketplaces does it work with?
Ten wholesale sites: Alibaba, AliExpress, 1688, Made-in-China, Global Sources, DHgate, Faire, Ankorstore, Qogita and CJdropshipping, priced for selling on your own online store, Amazon UK, eBay UK, Etsy or any other channel you set the fees for.
How accurate are the numbers?
The calculations follow how UK import costs, VAT and marketplace fees work, and every figure is shown line by line so you can check it. The results are only as good as the inputs, so confirm freight quotes, duty rates and Amazon's current fees for each product before you buy.
Does it handle VAT if I'm not VAT registered?
Yes. Set your VAT status once and DealDetective treats import VAT, VAT on marketplace fees and the sale price correctly for your situation.
Do I need the browser extension?
No. You can paste links or enter quotes in the web app on any plan. The extension adds scoring as you browse and whole-page ranking. Every plan includes it: Scout scores 3 pages a month, Inspector 10, and Detective is unlimited. Reopening a page you've already scored is free.
